As a lead collaborator, I was privileged to work alongside women from a range of science related disciplines to bring about a day of fun and engaging science activities for girls and their families to take part enjoy.

Community Garden Workshops with Local School Children

As part of a Sustainability and Social Justice tertiary teacher training program, children from a local school were invited to participate in community garden workshops alongside the pre-service teachers.

The Community Feast - University of Canterbury 150 years

The community feast was aimed at bringing the academic community, local food initiatives and the local community together to share in an evening of healthy nutritious food and conversations around food systems. As a volunteer I helped with the set up on the day and presented a poster in the evening. It was a great opportunity to meet people interested in the field of food systems and share my research with the community.

The Green PhDs Environmental Research Seminar

The Environmental PhD research seminar is to showcase the spectacular research that PhD students are doing in the field of environmental protection.
